Guarantee of Truth
Our Divine Guarantee against Deception: 1 John 2:26. These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. 27. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. 28. And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. 29. If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.
The anointing of Christ in us is our guarantee against all attempts of deception. The order is in this way. First go to God, trust in His Spirit for your divine direction and understanding and then after being grounded in truth, consideration can be given to listening to others. One should test the spirits to see if they are in line with what the Lord has shown you. If so, then we can learn from others but it has to line up with what God, through His Spirit has shown you. But first be grounded in truth by God's Holy Spirit so there's no chance for deception. When John wrote about the antichrist in the following verses, he was not writing about a being, but a state of mind. In verse 3, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God., John was not referring to Jesus, in the days of His flesh, but the anointing of Christ Jesus in our flesh. We can clearly see that John was referring to ones dependency upon this anointing a little further in verse 4. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. This is our guarantee against all deception, Christ in us! In our flesh! 1 John 4:1. Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,3. and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. 4. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you Christ in us! In our flesh! is greater than he who is in the world.
